AI is trained to be agreeable. It will rephrase your own thinking back to you in better words and you will mistake that for insight. A coach who has built and exited businesses sees the move you cannot see, because they are not inside your head.
AI gives you generic best practice. Your business does not have a generic problem. It has a specific one, with a specific cause, that usually traces back to something you do not want to admit. AI will never push you there. It has no judgement, no stakes, and no pattern from years of real owners sitting where you are sitting.
The divergent truth most people miss: the answer is almost never more information. It is someone with no reason to lie to you naming the one thing you have been working around for months. AI cannot do that. It does not know you are avoiding anything. I will.
Most owners who plateau, whether at 100k or well past a million, believe they have a sales problem or a marketing problem. They almost never do.
They have an owner problem. The business runs through them. Every sale, every decision, every delivery. They are the driver, the strategist, and the engineer all at once, and they have built a company that cannot function without them in the seat. This does not stop at 500k. It gets heavier the bigger you grow.
More leads will not fix that. More leads make it worse. The fix is to take yourself out of the operating role, one engine at a time, in a specific order. That is the work. That is what we do in the hot seat, live, on your actual business.
